Access to sustainable finance in Europe is increasingly dependent on alignment with clear and transparent technical criteria. To facilitate this process, the European Commission and the European Investment Bank are making available a public tool to help classify projects as "green" under the EIB's environmental and climate criteria and, where applicable, the EU Taxonomy.
This webinar aims to present the EIB Green Checker - a free online tool designed to help companies or financial intermediaries quickly assess whether projects qualify as green according to the EIB's climate and environmental criteria, providing a simple rating result and standardized impact estimates. This tool supports both the EIB's Green Intermediated Finance Product and the EIF's Sustainability Guarantee Product.
Throughout the session, the logic of how these tools work, their technical framework and how they can be used by companies, consultancies and public bodies to structure projects in line with European sustainability criteria will be presented.
