The entry into force of the Statute of the Informal Caregiver and the subsequent amendment to the Labour Code have recognized the rights and duties of non-mainstream informal caregivers.
It follows from this legal regime that companies must identify and create the conditions for the application of the Statute, recognizing the social role of their employees as informal carers and, within the scope of internal social responsibility policies, supporting the exercise of the functions of family helpers and the reconciliation of work and family in this area.
