Artificial intelligence is transforming the world of work, and organizations that fail to prepare for this change risk being caught off guard. Fears that machines will replace human jobs are growing; some professions will lose their relevance, and organizational and compensation structures will inevitably have to adapt. But the impact of AI goes far beyond employment: it raises ethical, legal, and governance issues that require clear answers from leadership.

This workshop brings together GRACE members and non-members for a frank and open discussion—free of taboos—about the challenges that AI poses to Portuguese organizations, ranging from preserving human value and organizational culture to defining internal governance structures, managing legal and labor risks, and ensuring accountability to employees, customers, and society. Because investing in AI responsibly is not an option—it is an ethical and strategic imperative.
