GRACE holds General Meeting and reinforces commitment to corporate sustainability

O GRACE - Responsible Companies held its General Assembly on April 20, 2026, in a hybrid format, with a presence at the Luso-American Development Foundation in Lisbon, participation in Porto through the associate K.SOCIAL - LACS Porto, and online connection via Microsoft Teams.

A community that is growing and consolidating

At the opening of the session, Raquel Abecassis highlighted FLAD's historical connection to the genesis of GRACE, underlining the Foundation's role at the beginning of the Association's creation.

The Chairman of the General Meeting, Nuno Pinto de MagalhãesHe thanked the participants for their presence and recalled the contribution of Nuno Morais Sarmento, who was honored with a minute's silence.

2025: a demanding year, but one of consolidation

The President of the Board, Isabel BarrosIn his keynote speech, he set the year 2025 in a challenging global context, marked by geopolitical instability and pressure on natural resources. He also highlighted the growing role of companies in building sustainable solutions and GRACE's position as a community seeking to anticipate and accelerate this transformation.

When presenting the activity, Maria João Simões de Almeida underlined the commitment of the members and the growth of the network, which reached 378 members in 2025, showing a strong geographical and sectoral representation. He also highlighted the integration of sustainability as an integral part of the business and the alignment of GRACE's activities with four strategic axes: impact, capacity building, anticipating trends and influencing public policies.

Results and impact: a transversal and collaborative activity

The detailed presentation of the activity was conducted by Teresa Themudo, who highlighted 2025 as a year of adaptation and consolidation, with strong mobilization of the network and the team.

The main results include:

  • 104 members involved in working groups

  • 11 tools developed in the field of sustainability

  • 22 training actions and about 1400 participants

  • 220 partners involved in responsible citizenship initiatives

  • 100 academic projects developed at the GRACE Academy

The launch of Portuguese House of SustainabilityGRACE's participation in the COP, consolidating its international position.

Accounts approved unanimously

The financial statements were presented by João Bruno da Costa, showing a positive net result and growth in revenue.

The Statutory Auditor's opinion, presented by Pedro Lisboa Nunesconfirmed the conformity of the accounts, without reservations.

O Relatório de Gestão e Contas de 2025 was unanimously approved.

New headquarters and next steps

GRACE's headquarters were also moved to a new location in Lisbon, reinforcing its commitment to proximity, collaboration and innovation with its members.

Other issues included the characterization of the membership base and the preparation of the electoral process for the 2027-2029 term.

The session ended with a presentation of the initiatives planned for 2026, including training courses, events and the GRACE Congress, reinforcing the call for active participation by members.

A collective commitment to the future

The General Assembly highlighted GRACE's growth, strength and impact as a network of companies committed to sustainability, reinforcing the role of organizations in building a more responsible and inclusive economy.
